Little Rock Zoo
The Little Rock Zoo has long been one of Arkansas' great treasures. It all began modestly in 1926, with just two animals — an abandoned timber wolf and a circus-trained brown bear. Today, the Zoo has grown to include more than 725 animals representing 200+ species, many on the endangered list. The Zoo itself, has become one of the state's greatest educational and conservation resources.

Riddle's Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary.
At Riddle's Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary, we are implementing a sensible and effective strategy for preserving and expanding the number of elephants throughout the world. We are caring for a group of genetically different elephants so that we can study their habits and physiology, teach proper elephant management techniques, and provide a home for elephants which need a home for any reason. Every elephant contributes to the social structure of the herd, while living out its life in a safe and secure environment.
Visitors Day
There is an opportunity for the public to visit the elephants on the first Saturday of every month between 11:00a.m. and 3:00p.m.
There is a $5 admission donation per person, children under 2 years of age enter free. Donations help support the care of the elephants at the sanctuary.
