The Newport Aquarium is claiming Summer 2005 as “Summer of the Sharks.” Not only will the Newport Aquarium add dozens of sharks to the facility in the month of May, the Aquarium has also transformed its interior to provide visitors with new ways to learn about sharks. With over 55 sharks, it is no wonder that the Aquarium has one of the top shark exhibits in the country. Starting Memorial Day weekend, the shark invasion will include: -New animals: Zebra Sharks, Bonnethead Sharks (a small member of the Hammerhead family), Leopard Whiprays and other sharks throughout the Aquarium. -Summer Events: Family Hours, Overnight Adventures and more. -Enhanced Touch Pool: Kids can reach into the Touch Pool and feel whelks, horseshoe crabs, spider crabs and sea stars. -A new animal that will be the first and only on display in the United States. This animal will not be revealed until she goes on display on June 10, 2005. -Educational stations and signage, expanded seating, crafts for kids and much more!

KIDS GET IN FREE DURING FAMILY HOURS Sunday, May 29 through Friday, Sept. 2

The Newport Aquarium’s Family Hours promotion allows up to two kids (12 and under) to get in free after 4:30 p.m. with each regularly paying adult. Family Hours will take place every Sunday through Friday (4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.) During these hours strollers are welcome.

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the 55 sharks on display as the Aquarium celebrates the Summer of the Sharks. Bring the whole family for a thrilling night full of aquatic creatures.

Family Hours tickets must be purchased at the Newport Aquarium ticket window on the day of visit. Offer not valid on Saturdays. Up to two children (ages 12 and under) get in free per paying adult. Strollers are also welcome starting at 4:30 p.m. No other tickets, coupons or discounts apply.

Designed to entertain and educate, the Newport Aquarium showcases thousands of aquatic creatures from around the world in a million gallons of fresh and salt water. Newport Aquarium was recently named the No. 1 aquarium in the Midwest in the world-famous Zagat Survey's U.S. Family Travel Guide. The Aquarium is an accredited member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA), a leader in global wildlife conservation.

Specially designed underwater tunnels will bring you face-to-face with sharks and other marine life. Exciting exhibits and larger-than-life murals will take you on an up-close encounter with the world's most beautiful, bizarre and dangerous creatures.

Ticketing
General admission tickets to the Newport Aquarium can be purchased at the door. Discount tickets can be purchased in advance at any Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Kroger store. For your convenience you can order regular price tickets by phone, using a credit card, by calling (859) 261-7444. Tickets can be mailed or placed at will-call. Allow 4-5 business days for processing and mailing.

The Newport Aquarium is open 365 days a year, with extended summer and holiday hours to maximize visitor enjoyment.
Open daily: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

• Children 2 and under are admitted free
Please note: during busier summer hours, we recommend when possible, purchasing your tickets prior to your visit. While we work hard to keep you moving quickly, during peak hours, there often is a short wait for ticket purchases. Coming with tickets in hand will help you get to the fish faster.
